Lindholm to drive WRC3-class with Toksport WRT’s Škoda

Team GRX’s Emil Lindholm and Mikael Korhonen will participate in the WRC3-class in the World Rally Championship series with Toksport WRT's Škoda Fabia R5 Evo. The Finnish duo will be fighting for the WRC3 World Championship points for the first time in the WRC Croatia Rally, which will be held at the end of this month.

After the confirmation of the new contract, Team GRX’s Emil Lindholm was a very happy man. In the first phase, the contract covers the World Rally Championships events in Croatia, Portugal, Italia Sardegna and Estonia. In the WRC Rally Finland and the Finnish Rally Championship events, Lindholm will drive with TGS Worldwide's Škoda.

“This is a great opportunity for us. My goal has been for a long time to get to drive in the WRC3 class in the World Rally Championships and now it’s happening. My goal, of course, is to drive as well as possible. The level of the class is hard, but we are trying to drive our best and place in good positions. It is really important for the future that I get to drive and gain experience of the WRC-series”, Lindholm reminds.

Lindholm's teammates are Andreas Mikkelsen from Norway and Marco Bulacia from Bolivia. In the WRC3 World Championship series, the results of the top five rallies will be counted to the final points.

“Although the spring has already begun, the situation in the WRC3-class is completely open. Our goal for next year is to continue in the WRC2 World Championship class, so this contract is a huge step for us regarding next season as well”, Lindholm says.

Lindholm’s, Korhonen’s and Toksport WRT’s first World Rally Championships event WRC Croatia Rally will take place on 22–25th of April.
